Basic requirements and standards for access conditions of reprocessed products to grs certification

Plastic is the most common thing in our daily life. It is a high molecular polymer extracted from petroleum crude oil. It has strong stability and is extremely difficult to decompose. Millions of tons of plastic produced every year in the world cause great pollution tothe earth.

GRS is a global recycled standard, which is an international, voluntary and targeted at complete products. The content is aimed at the implementation of the supply chain manufacturers' restrictions on product recycling/renewable ingredients, chain of custody control, social responsibility and environmental regulations, and chemicals, and is certified by a third-party certification agency.

Applicable GRS certification product range: 20% or more recycled ingredients, mainly textile raw materials, accessories, finished products, etc. Other products are applicable, such as plastic granules, convenience bags, metal, sunglasses, cosmetic packaging boxes, car interiors, car plastic parts, and non-woven fabric products.

GRS certification access conditions: the proportion of renewable ingredients in certified products is ≥ 20%.

Recycled proportion content: the proportion of recycled materials in the product or package by mass. Only pre - and post consumer materials are considered recycled.

GRS logo&label use and special statement: the proportion of regeneration cost of production products is ≥ 50%.

Whether the regeneration of materials is involved:

1. Verify that all sources of declaration materials are legally authorized according to relevant functions, and keep copies of relevant documents.

2. Hold valid agreements on renewable materials for all renewable material suppliers (including the collection and/or centralization of renewable materials).

3. Collect and save the complete declaration form of recycled materials. The form shall be collected every year. When the source of recycled materials changes, it shall also be collected.

The following records are required to verify the amount of recycled materials produced by the integrated process of the manufacturer of recycled materials:

1. Records of all raw materials entering the regeneration process

2. Describe the collection place of waste materials considered as recycled materials

3. All relevant transfer records

4. It may be necessary to fill in the renewable material declaration form.
